The starting wage you make will depend on the type of your school program and will respect the minimum wage of the province you're working in. Students enrolled in a Diploma program will be placed at the SU-02 level. Students enrolled in an Undergraduate program will be placed at the SU-03 level. Students enrolled in a Masters program will be placed at the SU-04 level.

Post-secondary students hired from this process will be considered for a variety of temporary or permanent, part-time or full-time positions after completing their degree.

 

CPA Pre-approved Program

The pre-approved program established by Canada Revenue Agency has been considered as sufficient to meet the Pre-approved Program Route Provider (PPRP) requirements, and candidates will be able to fulfil the overall experience standards set out in the CPA Practical Experience Requirements (PER) document.

 

The pool established from this staffing process may be used to staff similar positions.

Who can apply

Persons living in Canada and Canadian citizens living abroad.

Non-Canadian students living in Canada with a valid work permit can apply; however, preference will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents. Please indicate your citizenship status on your Candidate profile.

Please note that this process will be used to staff positions in Edmonton only. As a result, you will have to pay for any expenses related to your participation in this staffing process, as well as any relocation costs if you receive an offer of employment from this process. 

 

Essential staffing requirements

To be eligible, you must meet the following requirements.  

Be currently enrolled in full-time studies* at a recognized post-secondary institution** in the Fall 2019/Winter 2020 academic year.

*Students enrolled in studies on a part-time basis during the final semester of their program or due to a disability that is recognized by their academic institution are also eligible to apply.

**A recognized post-secondary institution is defined as a Canadian public or private institution that is recognized or authorized to grant degrees, diplomas, and other credentials by a public or private act of the provincial/territorial legislature or through a government-mandated quality assurance mechanism. The institution must be listed in the Canadian Information Centre for International Credentials.

Please Note: You must upload your proof of enrolment to the Documents section of your Candidate Profile and attach it to your application in Step 3: "Select documents" prior to clicking Submit Application. If your documentation is not uploaded, your application may not be considered further.

Proof of enrolment may include:

  • Letter from Registrar
  • Transcripts which specifically state your enrolment status
  • Tuition invoice
  • Other acceptable documents proving enrolment status

Required for all jobs:

Specific jobs being staffed may also require:

  • Willingness to take and successfully complete training
  • Willingness to travel
  • Valid Driver's license or personal mobility to a degree normally associated with the possession of a driver's license
  • Willingness to work on evenings and/or on weekends
  • Capacity to regularly lift objects weighing up to 10 kg
  • Willingness to work shifts or a flexible schedule (including weekends)
