Who can apply

Persons residing in Canada and Canadian citizens residing abroad.

Preference for appointment will be given to veterans and to Canadian citizens, in that order.

Please note that this process will be used to staff positions in various locations through Canada. As a result, if you are appointed from this process we will expect you to relocate to the location where the position is being staffed. If you are a candidate from the general public, you will have to pay any expenses related to relocation as well as any travel for assessments.

Essential Staffing Requirements

To be eligible, you'll need to meet the following requirements:

Education
Meet the CRA's CS Education Standard

Note: Candidates MUST provide proof of education (scanned copy of their degree or diploma and their International Educational Credential Assessment, if applicable) within their CANDIDATE PROFILE and ATTACHED TO THEIR APPLICATION. Failure to provide the required documents may result in your application being screened out.

Experience
•Have experience* working as an analyst or programmer in an IT project team; AND
•Have one of the following experience factors**:

A.Experience* in performing application development or maintenance, in a mainframe or distributed environment; or
B.Experience* in the development and support of mobile applications; or
C.Experience* in performing application development or maintenance in a Web environment; or
D.Experience* in development and support of Business Intelligence solutions; or
E.Experience* in database management systems (e.g. DB2); or
F.Experience* in performing infrastructure support; or
G.Experience* as an IT security analyst; or
H.Experience* working in COBOL; or
I. Experience* working in JAVA

*Experience is defined as having been performed as part of the major job duties for a period of 3 (three) years within the last 7 (seven) years.
