Who can apply:

Persons living in Canada and Canadian Citizens living abroad who are currently enrolled or will be enrolled in the next semester in full-time* studies at a recognized Canadian post-secondary institution.


*Students enrolled in studies on a part-time basis due to a disability that is recognized by their academic institution are also eligible to apply.

Preference will be given to Canadian citizens who meet the job requirements.

For some jobs, we have specific requirements. Everyone is required to meet the essential requirements, but the assets are not needed for all of our jobs, so you aren't required to meet all of them to work for us.

Essential (for all positions)

  • Security Clearance: Reliability Status
  • Your performance will be assessed through reference check(s) at appointment
  • You must be legally eligible / entitled to work in the province of Ontario
  • Your academic enrollment will be verified at appointment

Assets (for some positions)

  • Willing to work overtime
  • Willing to travel
  •  Valid Driver's License or personal mobility to a degree normally associated with the possession of a driver's license
  • Willing to work shifts or a flexible schedule, including evenings and/or weekends (including statutory holidays) between the hours of 7am and 9pm
  • Capacity to regularly lift objects weighing up to 10kg
  • Willing to take and successfully complete training

  • For some jobs, it is preferred that you are studying in a related post-secondary field or have completed specific courses. When we hire for those positions, we may only consider students who have specific education. If you are not residing within a commuting distance of your work location, you must be willing and able to travel and relocate to within a commuting distance. You will have to pay any expenses (i.e. travel, relocation, etc.).

Your level of education will determine the job level that could be offered to you:

  • SU-02 College/CEGEP
  • SU-03 University Undergraduate
  • SU-04 Masters
  • SU-05 Doctorate

You will be eligible to receive pay based on your level of education and the Students Rates of Pay.

We will be reviewing applications as we receive them, and making job offers to eligible students, so be sure to apply as soon as possible. Depending on your availability, there may full-time and part-time positions available, and some positions may start earlier than summer 2019. 

To be eligible for fall 2018 and winter 2019 positions, you must be enrolled in full-time** studies at a recognized Canadian postsecondary institution, during the term for which you will be hired. To be eligible for summer 2019 positions, you must be enrolled in full-time** studies at a recognized Canadian postsecondary institution during the summer 2019 or in the fall 2019. **If you are enrolled in part-time studies at an educational institution due to disability, as recognized by your academic institution, you will also eligible.

The CRA may visit various Canadian post-secondary institutions to engage with talented job applicants at job fairs. Applicants selected for further consideration will be notified of upcoming job fairs and will need to attend these sessions in order to be taken into consideration for the available jobs.
