The job duties will vary depending on the position.  Duties may include, but are not limited to:

SP-03 ($52,954 to $58,453)
Receives, reviews, and analyses returns, enquiries, and reports to identify and resolves accounts requiring corrective action and determines the course of action required to resolve the problem and update the account.

SP-04 ($58,076 to $65,363)
Receives, reviews, analyzes, and researches taxpayer information from internal and external sources to identify and resolve taxpayer accounts requiring corrective action such as misallocated payments, or compliance action, requirements to file, and issuing assessments.

The pool established from this staffing process may be used to staff similar positions with various language requirements.

Please note that this process will be used to staff various temporary positions at the Prince Edward Island Tax Centre/Tax Services Office (PEI TC/TSO) in Summerside and Charlottetown only.  If you are a candidate from the general public, you will be responsible for any relocation costs if you receive an offer of employment from this process. Virtual reporting may be possible, if operational requirements permit.  

Qualified members and former members of the Canadian Forces who receive an offer of employment are not entitled to relocation costs from the CRA. They may, however, be entitled to a final relocation from the Department of National Defence.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, public health recommendations and restrictions are in place across Canada and may change as circumstances evolve. You may be required to temporarily work remotely (e.g. from home). Further information will be provided if you are selected for a position.

Essential Staffing Requirements

To be eligible, you'll need to meet the following requirements.

Education

Degree, applied degree or diploma, obtained by May 2021, from a recognized post-secondary* institution (e.g. college, CEGEP, university)

* A recognized post-secondary institution is defined as a Canadian public or private institution that is recognized or authorized to grant degrees, diplomas, and other credentials by a public or private act of the provincial/territorial legislature or through a government-mandated quality assurance mechanism. The institution must be listed in the Canadian Information Centre for International Credentials.

CRA will accept foreign credentials as long as they are considered acceptable by a recognized Canadian educational institution.  Candidates with foreign education credentials are required to provide proof of Canadian equivalency.  Any applicable fees are the responsibility of the candidate.  For more information, you may refer to the Canadian Information Centre for International Credentials.


Note: As well as your online application, you must upload into your Candidate Profile your essential education credentials (degree, applied degree or diploma), including transcripts, and resume demonstrating that you meet the essential education requirements for the position(s) being staffed.  If your education credentials are not uploaded by closing date of this notice, your application will not be considered further - No exceptions..

Assessments may occur at any time after applications are submitted.
