Your level of education will determine your classification and your student rate of pay:

  • SU-02 - College/CEGEP
  • SU-03 - University Undergraduate
  • SU-04 - Masters
  • SU-05 - Doctorate

Who can apply

For Summer 2021 positions:

Persons living in Canada or Canadian citizens living abroad, who are enrolled in full-time* studies at a recognized post-secondary institution during Summer 2021 or Fall 2021.

For Fall 2021 and Winter 2022 positions:

Persons living in Canada or Canadian citizens living abroad, who are enrolled in full-time* studies at a recognized post-secondary institution during that specific semester.

*Students enrolled in studies on a part-time basis due to a disability that is recognized by their academic institution are also eligible to apply.

If you are a Student with a work/study permit, you may apply. However, preference will be given to Canadian citizens and Permanent Residents who meet the essential requirements. 

Proof of your academic enrollment in a recognized post-secondary institution will be verified prior to the time of appointment.

Proof of enrollment, with your name and institution, may include:

  • Letter from Registrar
  • Transcripts which specifically state your enrolment status
  • Tuition invoice
  • Other acceptable documents providing enrolment status

No experience is required to apply. However, you must attach your resume to your application in a PDF format by following this 2-step process:

Assessment

Essential

The essential staffing requirements indicated below will be assessed during the process and may be used to identify candidates for positions.

  • Performance validation / Reference Check
  • Unsupervised Internet Testing (UIT)

If you fail to attend your scheduled testing or interview session, you will be deemed to have withdrawn from this process and will not be considered further.

Accommodations during assessment are available. If we invite you to be assessed, we will send you more information on how to request accommodation measures throughout this staffing process.

Candidates will be screened against the above prerequisite staffing requirements on an on-going basis. If you meet the prerequisite staffing requirements, you will be invited to an assessment.

Asset

Please note that other asset staffing requirements that are not currently listed may also be assessed and/or applied at a later date and for appointment purposes. However, you will be notified in advance of any asset requirements to be evaluated/used.

Conditions of employment

  • Security: Reliability Status
  • You must be legally eligible / entitled to work in the province of Ontario
  • Your academic enrollment will be verified at appointment
  • Willingness to work overtime
  • Willing to travel
  • Willing to work shifts or a flexible schedule, including evenings and/or weekends (including statutory holidays)
  • Capacity to regularly lift objects weighing up to 10kg

Inventory:

An inventory of eligible candidates will be established for this staffing process based on each location in Ontario. Applications will be reviewed as we receive them. Candidates that meet the qualifications may be contacted for further assessment.
