To apply

For Fall 2023 and Winter 2024 positions:

Persons living in Canada or Canadian citizens living abroad, who are enrolled full-time* in Business, Accounting, Human Resources, Law, Tax, Finance, Economics and Office Administration fields of studies at a recognized Canadian post-secondary institution during that specific semester.

*Students enrolled in studies on a part-time basis due to a disability that is recognized by their academic institution are also eligible to apply.

Proof of full-time enrolment at a recognized postsecondary institution (or part-time basis due to a disability, as recognized by the academic institution) will be required prior to any appointments being made.

You must upload your education credentials in the education section of your candidate profile and submit all required documents by the closing date and time of this poster. Failure to do so can result in your application not being considered further.

Virtual reporting may be possible, if operational requirements permit.

Experience

No specific work experience is required to apply. However, if you have any relevant experience (including working for the Federal Government), please include it on your resume.

How do I apply? To apply you must complete steps one through four below.

Step 1: Create a Candidate Profile on the CRA Careers website. Please skip to step two if you already have a candidate profile.

Step 2: Attach your official/unofficial transcript from under the "Education" tab in your candidate profile at the time of your application.

Your transcript is required as a proof of enrolment in a program at a recognized educational institution. A transcript is a record of your full enrollment history including all courses you attempted, and grades earned.

Please note that your transcript must include:

  • Your name, your student ID, your institution name and level of education (diploma/degree/Masters/PhD).
  • The transcript will only be accepted in PDF format.

*Please note that we will ONLY accept the most current version of your transcript. Please ensure that the uploaded transcript has been updated/downloaded within 15 days from the submission date. Any transcript older than 15 days will be rejected, and you will not be considered further.

Step 3: Attach your resume in a PDF format (do not forget to indicate previous experience working for the Federal Government).

To attach your resume to your application in a PDF format, you must follow this 2-step process:

  1. Upload and save your resume to the "Documents" section of your Candidate Profile.
  2. When you apply to this notice of job opportunity, during the application process, before you click on "submit application," attach your resume in step 3 by selecting the box next to it.

Failure to upload your transcript and resume at the time of your application, will result in  your application not being considered further in this process.

We encourage you to visit the how to register and create a candidate profile page for more information about the Candidate Profile and the CRA Job Opportunities Helpdesk.

Assessment

If you have a limitation that may impact your performance during an assessment, such as a test or interview, you may require an accommodation, and we encourage you to ask for it. Assessment accommodations are designed to remove the obstacles without altering the criteria being assessed so candidates with limitations can fully demonstrate their abilities. If we invite you to be assessed, we will send you more information on how to request accommodation measures throughout this staffing process.

Each request will be individually reviewed. You will be asked to provide information regarding your limitations to be reviewed by a trained assessment accommodation advisor. If needed, professional documentation may be requested to determine the appropriate accommodation measures.  All information will be kept confidential.

For examples of assessment accommodations, please visit: Accommodation during an assessment as a candidate.
