This staffing process may be used to appoint candidates at various CRA offices within Ontario in various programs at the following entry-level positions:

  • SP-04 (salary range $52,410 to $58,988)
  • SP-05 (salary range $56,727 to $63,848)

Language requirements

This process may be used to staff positions in the following languages:

The pool established from this staffing process may be used to staff similar positions.

WHO CAN APPLY

Persons living in Canada and Canadian citizens living abroad who have graduated, or will be graduating, from a recognized post-secondary institution (e.g. college, CEGEP, university) between July 1st, 2018 and June 30th, 2020.

Veterans and members of the Canadian Armed Forces who have graduated or will graduate between the above noted dates may also apply.

Please note that preference will be given to Veterans, Canadian citizens, and Permanent Residents who meet the job requirements.

ESSENTIAL STAFFING REQUIREMENTS

To be eligible, you must meet the following requirements.

Education

You must have obtained a degree, applied degree, diploma, advanced diploma, masters, or PhD from a recognized postsecondary institution (e.g. college, CEGEP, university) conferred between July 1st, 2018 and June 30th, 2020.

Foreign education credentials will be accepted only if evaluated for Canadian equivalency by an organization that completes International Credential Evaluation (i.e. WES, ICAS, and CICIC). 

For candidates who have already graduated:

  • You must upload your proof of graduation* to the Education section of your Candidate Profile at the time of your application.

For candidates who will be graduating by June 30, 2020:

  • You must upload your proof of graduation* to the Education section of your Candidate Profile no later than July 15th, 2020 at 11:59 pm EST.

Please note:

  • Failure to provide proof of graduation will result in your application not given further consideration.
  • Certificate programs will not be considered for this staffing process 
  • *Proof of graduation include:
    • scanned copy of your diploma/degree; and/or
    • Scanned or downloaded copy of your official or unofficial transcript from your institution
    • The above documents must indicate the date your degree was conferred, along with your name, institution and level of education (diploma/degree/masters/PhD)
    • If your education credentials are foreign, you must have your documentation evaluated for Canadian equivalency (i.e. WES, ICAS, CICIC)
    • All documents must be legible

For candidates interested in being considered for SP-05 positions requiring knowledge of Accounting, you must upload your official/unofficial transcript to the Education section of the Candidate Profile demonstrating that you have obtained the required courses & grades for FA1, FA2, & FA3 equivalency, following the guidelines for due dates noted above.

Assessment

Essential

The essential staffing requirements indicated below will be assessed during the process and may be used to identify candidates for positions.

  • Performance Validation / Reference Check
  • Second Language Evaluation (For bilingual positions only)
  • Unsupervised Internet Testing (UIT)

If you fail to attend your scheduled testing or interview session, you will be deemed to have withdrawn from this process and will not be considered further.

Please note that other asset staffing requirements that are not currently listed may also be assessed and/or applied at a later date and for appointment purposes. However, you will be notified in advance of any asset requirements that will be evaluated and/or used.
