About the job

What is the intent of this process?

At CRA, we believe that diversity and inclusion is an organization's strength. We are committed to providing a diverse workforce that reflects the population we serve.

We are seeking individuals with disabilities to fill several positions within our organization.

The Employment Equity Act (EEA) (external link) defines a person with a disability as having a long-term or recurring physical, mental, sensory, psychiatric or learning impairment and :

  • considers that he/she has a disadvantaged in employment by reason of that impairment;
  • believes that he or she is likely to be classified as such by his or her employer or potential employers because of such an impairment.

These impairments may affect or include:

  • coordination or dexterity ;
  • mobility;
  • blindness or partial vision;
  • deafness or hearing loss;
  • speech and language impairments;
  • learning disabilities;
  • mental health;
  • chronic illness;
  • other.

The definition also includes individuals whose functional limitations related to their disability are being accommodated in their job or workplace.

If you identify with this definition, we may have a full-time or part-time job for you:

  • Client Service Officer in a call center (SP): you will answer various questions from taxpayers about their tax records over the phone.
  • Collections Officer (SP): You will collect money owed by taxpayers.
  • Processing Officer (SP): You will process tax files in various divisions.
  • Team Leader (MG): You will lead people, manage operations and budgets.
  • Tax Auditor (AU): You will ensure that individuals and corporations comply with the many federal and provincial laws that the CRA administers.
  • Human Resources Advisor (HR): You will provide advice to various stakeholders on human resources policies and procedures.

The pool established from this staffing process will be used to staff various bilingual or unilingual French positions (click here for more information on the jobs).

Please note that pay rates will vary depending on the group and level of the position being staffed.

These jobs are available in the following cities: Brossard, Chicoutimi, Gatineau, Jonquière, Laval, Montreal, Quebec City, Rimouski, Rouyn-Noranda, Shawinigan, Sherbrooke, Trois-Rivières. For more details, visit our web page on office locations.

For some of the jobs to be filled, it will be virtual work, while for others a physical presence in the office will be required. The necessary computer work equipment is provided by the employer.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, public health recommendations and restrictions are in place across Canada and may change depending on circumstances. As a result, the majority of work is done remotely and virtually. However, office presence may be required in the future when operations resume. Virtual work may still be possible (on occasion), if operational needs permit.

Full training will be provided after hiring. This training will provide you with the knowledge and skills necessary to adequately perform the duties of the position.
