PURPOSE OF THE PROCESS

When you apply to this staffing process, you are not applying for a specific position, but for a pool of candidates to fill various SP-03 positions.

Please note that the salary scale will vary depending on the group and level of the position to be staffed. Pay rate information can be found here.

**Candidates who qualify in this process may be required to physically work at the Jonquière Tax Center. Although most positions require a physical presence at the Jonquière Tax Center, it should be noted that some positions will offer the possibility of working remotely in hybrid mode from another CRA establishment.

** When applying, the questionnaire to be completed mentions the opportunities offered in Jonquière and the need to work regularly on site via this site. However, by completing this questionnaire, you confirm that you have been informed that certain opportunities could offer a hybrid working mode from another ARC establishment.

 

TASKS INCLUDE (but are not limited to) THE FOLLOWING :

  • Receive, review and analyze information returns, inquiries and reports in order to take corrective action to resolve identified issues, including updating accounts or statements.
  • Respond to inquiries from filers regarding the submission and processing of information returns, verifying returns to be processed, contacting taxpayers by telephone or in writing for additional information, and correcting or amending returns accordingly .

* The bilingual imperative BBB level is considered the intermediate level at the ARC, where an agent is expected to be able to engage in simple conversations, understand a short text, or gather information over the phone in their second official language.

SCREENING FOR PREREQUISITES STAGE

 

Who can apply?

Persons living in Canada and Canadian citizens and permanent residents living abroad.

Preference for appointment will be given to veterans, Canadian citizens and permanent residents. 

** This process will be used to staff positions at the Jonquiere tax center. If you are a general public applicant, you will be responsible for all expenses related to your participation in this staffing process as well as all expenses related to relocation.

Qualified members and former members of the Canadian Armed Forces who receive an offer of employment are not entitled to relocation costs from the CRA. They may, however, be entitled to a final relocation from the Department of National Defence.

While remote work may be possible, any candidate hired under this staffing process will be required to work on-site at the Jonquiere Tax Center on a regular basis. If you receive a job offer following this process, you will be responsible for all expenses related to your travel for training purposes and on-site work at the Jonquière Tax Center. All candidates are required to attend in-person training at the at the Jonquiere Tax Center.

In the case of candidates previously terminated or rejected on probation from positions within the CRA, please note that additional verifications will be conducted. Candidates should submit their education credentials and all required documents as soon as possible. Candidates will be screened for the prerequisite staffing requirements on an on-going basis. Candidates who meet the prerequisite staffing requirements will continue to progress in this staffing process. Failure to submit the documents required for the analysis of your file during your application for this process could result in your application being rejected.

Assessment

  • Behavioural and Cognitive Skills and Abilities - Korn Ferry Unsupervised Online Test (KFEL-01 – Taxpayer contact I) *

*Note that the KFEL-01 standardized test result obtained during this process is transferable to future processes if used.
